FMD COLLECTIONS 2014

This year, Montréal’s Fashion & Design Festival had, among all the usual outdoor runway shows, one special event which was called FMD COLLECTIONS. This event was a compensation for the not-so-happening-Montréal-Fashion-Week and presented six designers from Montréal, happily selected by the beloved fashion blogger Garance Doré. It was also a chance for the media and people from the industry to meet once more, in a beautiful event we all honestly thought would never happen again. This event was quite fun, offering us one last vibe of what used to be. As for the collections that were presented, I found the…

College Lasalle: SIGNATURE 2014

It has been now four years in a row that I attend the annual SIGNATURE runway show organized by the Lasalle College graduates from the fashion design program… and I must say that each year, I am more impressed than the year before! The general presentation of the event, including the splendour of the lighting and settings and the selection of the models, better from year to year, globally give a total justice to the beautiful creations made by the young graduating talents. Indeed, these young designers are amazingly increasing in creativity and cleverness each year, making me think that this season were presented the…

MÉLISSA NEPTON Fall/Winter 2014-2015

MÉLISSA NEPTON Fall/Winter 2014-2015 Mélissa Nepton is a designer who’s talent has always impressed me. It’s the fact that, in my opinion, she is one of the rare to combine the vibes of high fashion and ready-to-wear with such fluidity! When you look at the pieces she is presenting, you find a very specific and defined style, without, however, being inaccessible. Indeed, her styling during runway shows is always impressive, almost intimidating, but when you analyse each piece of clothing separately, you realize the natural potential they each have. Each clothe educes a strong persona and is accessible by the fact that it doesn’t require an extravagant…

3 PARADIS: The White Door

THE WHITE DOOR COLLECTION 3 PARADIS, a brand that I would easily have called seven paradise since the trip to the seventh heaven we all took during it’s masculine presentation, warm in originality and beautiful models! What I liked about this collection was the mix of genders, created by the masculine cuts and soft (more) feminine fabrics. Indeed, the flower prints and the pastel colors paired with some black items and styled in a more boyish way made the collection look great and perfect for every kind of men. There were some pieces made for all types of guy and while being able…
