Black Building

What do Montrealers do during Summer time? We meet at some cool spots in the city, hang out a bit, probably end up walking through the boundaries of one of the many festivals, grab a bite somewhere on a terrasse and change location to go drink some fancy cocktails somewhere else. And that’s what we did, Akeem and I, when we went out for a night downtown! Do you remember my last Sunday Streetstyle article? It was actually about my lovely friend Akeem, who then photographed me as well. That’s what happens when two fashionistas meet-up for a night around…

SUNDAY STREETSTYLE – AKEEM

Akeem is wearing designer clothes from head to toes and he’s all branded. And it’s totally fine! Because he loves it and you can see it and that makes you love it too. It’s a love for fashion and beauty in the details. The thrill of the addiction of style and edginess. It’s the shiver of fashion at its most raw state. Akeem knows and embraces this feeling. And it’s perfect. He’s perfect. Akeem porte des vêtements de designers de la tête aux pieds et il est tout de marques.   Et c’est totalement acceptable!   Parce qu’il adore ça…

An Orange Summer

What color is Summer in Montréal? It’s orange. Obviously. Why? Because of the incredible amount of road cones on the streets… basically EVERYWHERE in the city. Montréal in the Summer is all about construction and road repairs… and festivals. Yes. We do have A LOT of festivals too. But back to the cones. They’re orange, they’re way too many and everywhere you look. And sometimes, they’re not even useful. I guess Montrealers have gotten used to them (or have we?). I think of them as representative of the Summer season as Christmas lights for Winter. They’re a MUST. Oh, and about…

Battle Of the Bands – with Turkish Airlines

Remember when I told you about our night spent at the Jazz Festival with Turkish Airlines? Well, it was much more than the VIP lounge and the Adam Cohen show: it was actually, and mainly, about attending one of the most fun spectacle I have seen: the Battle Of the Bands, at the Maison Symphonique. Every year for almost the past decade, the International Jazz Festival in Montréal organises this lovely show where two bands face eachother on stage. And when I say “bands”, I ain’t talking about the typical singer-guitare-drum band. I truly mean Jazz orchestras, with about 15 talented musicians. It…

SUNDAY STREETSTYLE – Jackie

Beautiful Jackie! I love her simplicty and elegance in this navy blue flowy dress! Wearing the latest collection of the reknown Thomas Sabo jewelry house around her neck and fingers, she, honestly, looks flawless.Let’s not forget to mention the unbelievable heat of that day… yet, she still looks as fresh as a rose! Jackie a l’air…

Jeans on Jeans – by Axelle Dubé

Written by AXELLE DUBÉ  Even though, the Denim on Denim trend is not quite new, it is still pretty cool! Well… Forget the Britney and Justin episode at the American Music Video Awards in 2001…this wasn’t cool at all! The thing with the Canadien Tuxedo trend is that it’s so easy to wear that you barely have to think about the clothes! All you need to care about are the accessories… a bit like when you wear a little black dress. Another great thing about Jeans on Jeans outfits is that, once again, depending on the accessories you’ll choose, the outfit…

Skechers Fall/Winter 2015

Who doesn’t know about the shoe brand SKECHERS? Obviously, everybody knows about the brand and probably owns one or many pairs! But do you really know all what’s behind this big S name? I’m sure you would be surprised to learn about all the different styles available and mostly about all the different types of shoes made for various lifestyle activities! Surprisingly, Skechers is a lot more than just a “pretty & comfy” shoe company. They make shoes for all kinds of specific activities and are, actually, among the bests sport shoes manufacturers across the globe (even I didn’t know about that)!…

Thomas Sabo FALL/WINTER 2015

Oh you fashion enthusiasts might already know that the Fall/Winter collections of the up-coming year are shown way ahead of time. As a matter of fact, I had the chance to assist to the luxurious THOMAS SABO Fall/Winter 2015 presentation last night. Yes, yes. Mid-July and we’re already talking about winter… Watchout for the snowboots articles!Ok back to business. I have heard many times the famous name, but wasn’t very familiar with the actualljewelries from the Thomas Sabo house. No need to say I was VERY impressed by the quality and the luxury of each piece. Every jewel was brilliant,…

Le Brunch au Sofitel

There’s a real thing about brunch… I love to brunch and so does everybody! Am I right? Brunches are for me, every Sunday, with friends and family, and they usually are one of a kind big and opulent meal! I love it! I love it! I love it!I literally dream about brunching. I think about what I’m gonna eat and I cannot wait to enjoy the tasty Sunday meal. I love it so much it’s basically on my mind the entire week, until the next Sunday. I think about brunch everyday! And this might be excessive, but honestly, who doesn’t like to…
