When I go thrift shopping, I browse through the clothing racks silently, concentrated and eager to find what I was on a mission to find.
However, it happens that sometimes I find the unexpected and the exhilarating feeling of sudden discovery makes me squeak or should I say scream out of happiness. This is what happens when I found something I wasn’t necessary looking for but then realize how silly it was for me not to have seek for it previously. An epiphany.
This very kind of enlightenment happened when I found this “wolf” blouse while browsing through the jeans shirts section at the Salvation Army Thrift Shop. I was only searching for a simple jeans shirt, looking out for that perfect kind of blue but nothing more, really.
But when I pulled out this blouse from the lot, it basically screamed for itself. It was perfect, in its cheesy and so “Canadian Touristy”, yet fashionable way, with its 80s wolf prints in the front AND on the back of the garment. I loved how it could be a classic jeans shirt at the same time as a weird and quirky piece of clothes coming straight out of a tourists gift shop.
It was the spirit of the Wilderness calling for me to find it… hidden in a weird looking wolf-printed jeans shirt.
